COVID Safe Procedures - A message from the owners…

We take the risks of riding horses very seriously, therefore we have processes in place with well trained staff to ensure you can enjoy your ride as safely as possible.

Regardless of your personal position on whether COVID19 is an actual risk to people’s health, our business has an obligation to follow the public health orders. Ignoring public health orders would be deemed negligent on our part and open us up to litigation from our staff and customers if they believe they had contracted COVID 19 through our business. In addition to these very serious legal and financial risks to our business, we would also be open to receiving fines from the police in excess of $10,000.

So we ask that you respect the difficult position we are in, and follow our staff’s directions with regard to COVID 19 procedures. Failure to do so will result in the same outcome as refusing to wear a helmet or disregarding horse safety directions - you will be asked to leave.

Check in

  • At this moment, you are required to check-in using the service NSW app and we are also required to validate your vaccination status.

  • Unfortunately, the government has not yet built the vaccination status into the service NSW app. Please prepare prior to visiting by downloading your “proof of vaccination”. Visit the service NSW website for details on how to do this.

  • After our staff have checked you in, you will receive a paper wrist band to help us keep track of this process. After being closed for 3½ months, we cannot afford to hire someone to specifically manage this added procedure. All of our staff will be responsible for making sure visitors are wearing their wrist bands while on the property.

Masks

  • Masks are no longer required while outdoors, however please wear a mask while under the shelter in front of our office. While checking in, paying and signing waivers it can sometimes can get quite crowded and difficult to socially distance.

Social Distancing and Spectators

  • Please practice social distancing while visiting our property

  • At this stage we are only allowing 1 spectator per rider. We understand that everyone has been locked down for a long time and may want to bring parents, aunties, grandparents, etc… however we are simply not staffed to handle the covid compliance overhead that large crowds will create.

Hygiene

  • Hand santitiser is provided at our desk.

  • Bathrooms are equipped with antibacterial surface spray - we recommend spraying toilets, door locks and taps and wiping down with toilet paper. Please be mindful of the amount of toilet paper in the bowl to avoid blockages.

  • Helmets are sprayed with glen 20 and left to dry in the sunshine as well as the mandatory use of hairnets.

  • Horse tack is wiped down after every ride.

Staff

  • All of our staff are vaccinated

  • Staff are required to wear masks while in close proximity to customers or each other. Masks will be removed when social distancing is possible or hearing impaired clients require it.

  • Use of the lunch room will be limited in capacity to adhere to the 1 person per 4 sqm rule.
